1MAF3 Numerical Simulation Practical work Mechanics and materials S6
Cours : 0 h TD : 0 h TP : 25 h Projet : 0 h Total : 25 h
Responsable : Gislaine Marie
Pré-requis
Resistance of Materials I (1MAC2)
Numerical Calculation Tools and Methods for Engineers (1MAB3)
Introduction to the Finite Element Method (1MAE2)
Objectifs de l'enseignement
Apply the theoretical notions acquired in the course on the finite element method to simulate linear mechanical problems.
Programme détaillé
Understanding the operation of finite element software by performing different TPs.
Modeling simple mechanical problems in different stages:
o Creation / Import of a geometry,
o Discretization of the geometrical domain (mesh),
o Choice and parameterization of material laws,
o Loadings and boundary conditions,
o Control and validation of the results
o Interpretation
Applications (TD ou TP)
TP1: Getting started with ANSYS finite element software.
TP2: Simulation in 2D plane stress.
TP3: Axisymmetric 2D simulation.
TP4: Simplified modelizations: the case of the elements hulls (2D) and elements beams 1D.
TP5 and TP6: Verification of learning achievements
Compétences acquises
Basis of the implementation of a simulation static structure.
Understanding the dimensions of the problem and the dimensions of the geometry studied, adapt the data setting to save computing time (simplification of the problem in 2D plane stress, 2D axisymmetric and geometric simplification by extraction of the average surface or neutral fiber).
